Life at Wilshire Presbyterian Church
Wilshire offers a variety of ways to get involved in the life of the church and become part of our caring faith family.

To be part of our faith community and participate in the life of our church you are not required to join as a member. If you however have attended our church for a while and are interested to become a member, we would love for to join us officially.  Following the tradition of the early church we only receive new members once a year on Easter Sunday. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Pastor Kobie.

Wednesday night Bible Study
We meet every Wednesday night at 7pm in the Library to study the Bible and explore our faith on a deeper level. Any one is welcome to join us, no preparation necessary, you can just show up.

Join us!
Worship: Every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Children and Youth Activities
Children and Youth Activities happen throughout the year at various times. From service projects, participating and leading in worship, from Easter Egg Hunts to Christmas Pageants, the young people and children are valued and embraced at Wilshire Presbyterian church. See Calendar for upcoming events.

Special Events, Trips, and Outings
Some of the special events we host are for instance the Christmas luncheon and gift exchange for those who will be spending Christmas day by themselves. Usually during the summer various kinds of outings are arranged, for instance to the Hollywood Bowl or a guide tour Downtown. It is a wonderful way to make new friends and enjoy new areas of Southern California. Sign up lists are on the table in the Fellowship Hall. Sometimes we venture a bit further: Last year we visited Israel and walked in the Footsteps of Jesus. Another Pilgrimage to the Holy Land (Pastor Kobie leads the trip) is scheduled for December 28, 2018 - January 6, 2019 - for more info see the weekly E-Newsletter or pick up a flyer in the Fellowship Hall. See Calendar for upcoming events.

Sunday Lunch
Every Sunday after church one of our member's host a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. It is great time to visit and get to know one another a bit better. Anyone is welcome.  If you want to host a luncheon, sign-up is during December. Some luncheon as potlucks such as our Thanksgiving luncheon and Summer Barbecue Picnic.

To receive updates and information on all that is happening at WPC, call or email the church office to sign up for our weekly E-Newsletter at  (213) 387 5387 or  wilshirepc@sbcglobal.net.

Wilshire Presbyterian church is part of a larger neighborhood, and we desire to be connected to the community around us. By entering into partnerships with local organizations (such as HopeNet, Queenscare, and Giving Spirit) and providing services to our neighbors, WPC hopes to fulfill its mission to be a beacon of acceptance, loving community and hope to the surrounding neighborhoods.
